Secured tree climbing is an indispensable part of certified tree climbers and arborist's daily work. Tree climbing is most practical means of ascending when the tree is inaccessible to vehicle. Through all of the ISA CA had gained some knowledge in tree climbing in the Arborist Study Guide, there are areas that are not illustrated in details. In response to that, the ISA HK Chapter is organizing a seminar regarding tree climbing techniques and equipment. Our speakers will explains in details the function and limits of different equipment and the technique in using it.

Bio of speaker:

Mr. Samuel Ma is a certified tree worker, certified arborist, tree risk assessment qualfication holder, chairman of the Hong Kong Tree Climbing Competition 2014. He had attended international tree climbing competition and exchanged techniques in climbing with international experts. He had been working as frontline staff and supervisor in landscape contractor companies for landscape and arboriculture.
 
Mr. Hung Au started rocking climbing as early as in 1977 and has over 25 years rock climbing experience. He started rope access in 1999 and tree climbing in 20009. He has over 20 years in textile industry and is very familiar with the properties of different textiles used in climbing equipment such as climbing rope, lanyard and etc. He had been actively participating in the tree climbing industry. He had recently completed a rope splicing worker for hk tree climbers.
