In situations where the use of the above means are not reasonably practicable, other alternative means, such as the use of rope access system, can be considered. The Tree Work Supervisor should confirm the appropriateness of the method if rope access is adopted. The aerial tree work by climbing should be carried out by Tree Workers satisfying the requirements in Annex I(C) (i.e. Tree Worker (Tree Climbing)). Relevant safety practices/instructions and devices in accordance with recognized standards should apply

此指引最重要的是提到如果升降台之類不能應付修樹工作，可以用繩索系統上樹．希望此信息能告訴地盤的Safety Officer，不一定以工作台上樹才是安全的．

如果有些圖示會更好，因外行人可能以為'rope access system'是一條麻繩即可！！！常用的繩有很多，例如ArborMaster, Velocity, Yale Poison Ivy®等．個人認為Poison Ivy比較合身型較瘦的人，手感不錯，而ArborMaster較重，合大隻一些的朋友．（不要信我，要試過才買合自己用的）．

為何要穿反光衣呢？（當然，馬路附近工作則是必須的）一般在花園修樹都不會穿的，否則可能反而成為上樹時的煩惱．

指引中只提及PPE要乎合安全規格，其實可以具體一些，例如護目鏡、太陽眼鏡、頭盔和攀爬裝備等都要有CE或 ANSI 安全認證．有很多內地製太陽眼鏡很平，又好型，先不論是否可擋UV，但沒有CE認證，是不適合上樹工作的，有CE的，就算被電鋸不幸鋸中一下，亦可保住你的眼睛．

很多人未必知道，PETZL頭盔（$600-$700 一個）是有使用期限的，一般是十年．因膠放太久會變脆，保護不到你．所以買二手的話要小心檢查出廠日期，但很多人不懂看．地盤的安全頭盔（$25-$30 一個）則只有２年使用期限．

一般都用PETZL這個品牌的Harness ，好輕巧．
